EXCELLENT Based on 19 reviews Posted on Caroline PVerified Safari Extraordinaire - Platinum Tours - Kampala - Uganda Thanks to the knowledgeable team at Platinum Tours, we have just had the most wonderful experience within the Murchison Falls NP with our trusted guide Hilary. He stopped at nothing to give us an experience of a lifetime during our 3 night Safari. We were often the envy of many groups viewing what had been arranged for us. Hilary was also adaptable to suit the days needs and this allowed us to see many various animals during our stay. He was very informative about history and life in Uganda and within the National Park. His knowledge of the wildlife species was incredible as well as their natural habitat. We were inspired by how invested he is in finding ways to educate his fellow locals to embrace tourism in Uganda where the nation appear to appreciate the value, as an important future for the better of the people of Uganda. Platinum Tours have done us proud, nothing was too much trouble, even transporting us to and from the airport to our chosen accomodation. Forever grateful!Posted on Cornelious BakakiVerified A trip full of excitement and bonding with the team Our team-building trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park was absolutely amazing! Beautiful sights, enjoyable activities like quad biking and and enjoyable show to wrap up the night with dancers and fire breathersPosted on Bitumu MVerified Urlaub im Jinja Ohhhh we had such an amazing experience in Jinja last September🥳Platinum Tours & Travel took real good care of our desire inorder to have such an amazing day as expected. We hired on of their 4*4 Wheel vehicles and very comfy it was and we didn’t find any issues with it through out our journey because with some of these Ugandan roads, it was a perfect decision and choice to go with. With our Backpacks packed, caps, sun screen, Sandals for later, light clothes and Shades on, phones & Power Banks fully charged to capture every moment, we go on our way to Jinja with my Husband & Sisters. We started getting on our way at 6:30am since we were going to do a self- drive and wanted to beat the traffic jam which would come in the next hours and oh boy was it worth it! I felt it that it going was such a beautiful Saturday. The Sight seeing started as soon as we reached Mykonos. The road was not as bumpy as in the city centre. Then there was the Kazakh tea Estate which looked so spectacular afar.Mabira forest was yet another beauty- green, thick and vast as ever. We found a bump though there with the traffic police which stopped us for some reason but we somehow managed to overcome it and in no time, we were on our way ahead. Not forgetting the tasty road- side roasted chicken at Namawojolo, that one we had to make a stop for sure and get us some😋.It took us about 4hrs to get to Jinja town and boy, oh boy, had that town changed so much since I was last there in 2013. First of all, the city Centre is a beauty itself and through it.Our first stop was the new Bridge. We were registered in and later allowed to take pictures there. Next stop was the Source of the Nile which took us awhile to locate even with Google maps because we ended up getting lost instead but eventually made it there. We were guided around by the Guide. Took afew photos and then we were on our way to the next and final stop. Our final destination was meant to be Bujagali Falls but were told by the locals that they no longer existed due to the dam which was constructed on the river. Therefore they gave us two options to go to- either Itanda or Busowoko Falls. We decided to go with Busowoko Falls which took us a total of 2 hrs or so to get to because we kept on making stops to ask for directions. There were no road sins for directions. On finally arriving there, we were graced by the beautiful surrounds of trees and the white flowing waters roaring. The weather was so perfect!🤩.We immediately made an order and began taking pictures and as we were waiting for our food to be prepared and served. About 40 minutes later, it was served. A whole Tilapia with some Niles on the Nile. We even devised a cool way of keep our beers chilled by placing them in a safe spot of the flowing water. There were Kayakers and Tubers on the river as well and a few spot fishermen. The Sunset was another lovely sight to see on the river plus Lizards and birds.By 5:30 pm, we decided to put an end to a day successfully well spent and started on our way back to Kampala.TIPS ON VISITING JINJA;1. Carry caps2. Carry Sunscreen3. Extra light cotton clothing (shorts) incase it gets super hot.4. Sandals5. Entrance fees at every site.Posted on Mirembe RVerified Urlaub im Jinja Ohhh we had such an amazing experience.
