Day 1 – Transfer from the Airport to Nyugwe forest.

Day 2 – Nyungwe- chimp tracking
Today, you will participate in chimpanzee tracking within Nyugwe forest. Chimpanzees are the most intelligent and very social apes sharing nearly 98 percent of their genetic code with human beings. Return back to you accommodation for dinner.

Day 3 – To Gisenyi
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast then with your guide, drive to Lake Kivu arriving in the afternoon in time for lunch. Gasenyi is an attractive resort which is situated north of Kibuye by road.

Day 4 – Gorilla tracking
You will participate in gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National park which starts early in the morning. You will hike through volcanoes in search of these great and rare apes and you will be allowed to stay with these gorillas within a time of 1 hour.

Day 5 – Transfer to the Airport
Early Morning you will be returned to Kigali International Airport for your International flight

Day 1 – Arrival in Kigali
On arrival, you will be welcomed by your platinum safari guide, briefed about the safari and drive north of Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park, viewing the spectacular scenery of the Virunga Mountains en route.

Day 2 – Gorilla trekking – Volcanoes national park
Enjoy your breakfast and head to the park headquarters with packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas.

Day 3 – Visit Dian Fossey Tombs OR Golden monkey tracking
Have breakfast; proceed for another adventurous hike to Dian fossey grave yard / tombs. Return to the lodge for lunch and leave for Kigali to fly back home.

Day 1 – Arrive at Kigali Airport
Arrive at the Kigali Airport, you will meet and greet by your Platinum safari guide. You will be transferred to the East of Rwanda to Akagera National Park bordering Tanzania, which has beautiful rolling plains with dense, broad-leafed woodland, lighter acacia woodland and rolling grassland with an extensive series of lakes linked by papyrus swamps forming a sprawling wetland.

Day 2 – Game Drives and Boat cruise on Lake Ihema
You will have an early morning game drive in the park. The game drives will involve seeing hippos, elephants, buffalos, giraffe, hyenas, crocodiles and many other animals plus bird life. After a late breakfast, you may decide to have a relaxed moment at the lodge while preparing for the canoe ride on Lake Ihema in the afternoon. Day 3 – Transfer to Kigali Airport
On this day you will have an early morning breakfast and later transfer to the Airport for your outbound flight.

DAY 1: ARRIVE KIGALI AND TRAVEL TO RUHENGERI
You will be met by your guide at the Kigali International airport and stop for lunch in the city before being transferred to the twin lakes of Bulera & Ruhondo located in the Northern Rwanda at the base of volcano Muhabura and close to the border with Uganda. They are surrounded by steep hills and large waterfalls with a backdrop of the Virunga volcanic mountains. These twin lakes are great spots to be visited and used to be referred to as neglected gems but things have changed and Bulera and Ruhondo are a place not worth missing out on. Separated only by a 1km strip of land; the breathtaking scenery from the surrounding mountains reveals what few people are given the chance to see in their lifetimes. Their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills and tall waterfalls with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes provide a spectacular backdrop. Get to the view point then drive to Ruhengeri area the second largest town in Rwanda, with its stunning backdrop of five volcanic mountains – The Virungas- Arriving for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 2: GORILLA TRACKING

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your guides for the day. After completing our park formalities, we are embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long lost cousin. This is perhaps one of the most breath-taking wildlife experiences on earth!!! You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 700 living today. You will get within meters of the family, and be privileged to spend an hour amongst them. The trekking may be fairly strenuous; up to six hours or longer at a relatively high altitude. We encourage for your own enjoyment to make sure that you are perfectly fit and healthy. (We’ve had people as old as 70 years old do gorilla tracking so this should not be a problem; all you need is to ask your driver guide to request a shorter group for you if cannot you trek far) It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves for protection against stinging nettles, some snacks & sweets (for you, not the gorillas) as well as sufficient water as the rain forest gets hot and humid during the day. You will spend one hour with the gorillas, but it is an hour you will never forget. Return to your hotel for lunch and later dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: CITY TOUR AND SHOPPING + DEPART

After breakfast you will bid your host good bye and depart for Kigali. Take a complementary city tour to visit interesting spots which may include; the craft market, Gisozi genocide memorial site & Kigali museum. Also engage in last minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals, before returning to the airport for your onward international flight back home.
