Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival with Airport Transfer – Victoria Falls

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met by your driver and be transferred to your hotel for the next few nights. The Avani Victoria Falls Resort is a perfect base from where to explore the Zambezi River and the Victoria Falls, along with all the various activities on offer in this area.

Day 2 – 3: Explore the Highlights of Victoria Falls - Zambia

Today is a full day available to explore the various offerings of the destination, there is a huge variety of optional activities to choose from. You can start your morning with a unique interaction at the Elephant Cafe, where you can learn about the magnificent elephants and even feed them.

Get your adrenaline pumping with an exhilarating white-water rafting adventure on the mighty Zambezi River. You can also embark on a guided tour of the majestic Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning “The Smoke That Thunders” in the native language.

As the sun begins to set, board a scenic sunset cruise on the Zambezi River or opt for a special evening adventure on the Royal Livingstone Express for a luxurious steam train safari. Alternatively, if you have a thirst for adventure, consider a full-day trip to Chobe National Park in neighbouring Botswana.

Whether you choose to relax onboard a luxurious train or embark on a wildlife safari, day two promises an unforgettable and diverse experience in Zambia.

Return to the lodge after the adventures and stay at leisure.

Day 4: Airport Transfer and fly to South Luangwa National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to South Luangwa. From Lusaka, you will board your flight to South Luangwa, where you will be met by your guide for a transfer to the Kafunta River Lodge, South Luangwa.

Kafunta River Lodge is the ideal base to explore the bounty of South Luangwa and the next few days will prove to be worth it.

Day 5 – 6: Explore the Adventures of South Laungwa National Park

Spend these days exploring the area with game drives inclusive or just relax and enjoy the facilities at the lodge.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and airport transfer to Victoria Falls

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met by your driver who will then transfer you to your area of accommodation for the next few nights.

Overnight: Thorn tree River Lodge

Day 2: Mosi – oa – Tunya National Park Safari and Livingstone Island

With an early start at 06:30 am, you will venture out on an early morning game drive in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, which is home to some of Africa’s biggest wildlife, such as the white rhino, buffalo, elephant, antelope, as well as a host of bird life. Our open game-viewing vehicles, driven by our expert guides are the best way to encounter these animals in their natural habitat. Although wildlife sighting cannot be guaranteed, it is a privilege to share a space with these magnificent animals and absorb the beauty of Africa through an abundance of indigenous flora.

Return to the lodge at approx. 09:30, to refresh for a brunch before venturing out on a lunch Livingstone Island experience.

Livingstone Island is perched on the edge of a cavernous gorge, eye to eye with the roaring cloud of mist, “Mosi-Oa-Tunya” (The Smoke That Thunders). Its neighbour is the raging wave of the Zambezi that plunges down the black basalt rock. When you sit on Livingstone Island surrounded by pristine natural beauty, you will meet the Queen of Africa- the Victoria Falls.

Return by 15:00, and later depart for the Elephant Cafe Dinner excursion at 15:15.

Return to the lodge at 21:15.

Day 3: Transfer and fly to the Lower Zambezi

After breakfast you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight to the Lower Zambezi National Park, via Lusaka. Upon your arrival at the airstrip a lodge representative will meet you and transfer you to Sausage Tree Camp, your lodge for the next few nights.

The Lower Zambezi National Park is a must and only Sausage Tree Camp will show you the very best of what the park has to offer.

Day 4 - 5: The Lower Zambezi Safari Experience

Sausage Tree Camp offers some of the finest game viewing in natural habitats anywhere in Africa. It’s location within the Lower Zambezi National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River means that game viewing activities take place both on the water via boat and canoes, and on land by four-wheel drive game viewing vehicles or on foot (bush walks). The camp is well equipped with game viewing vehicles, boats and canoes allowing us to easily cater to the personal and individual needs of all our guests.

Day 6: Transfer and Fly Back to Lusaka – End of Itinerary

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Lusaka where your tour comes to an end.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Airport Transfer to Victoria Falls (Zambia)

You will meet one of our travel guides upon your arrival at the Livingstone airport and get a transfer to your hotel for the next 3 nights, the Royal Livingstone Hotel. The Royal Livingstone is located on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, overlooking and with direct access to the Victoria Falls where you can partake in many activities available in the area.

Start your experience with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River on the Lady Livingstone. The Lady Livingstone is a 3-decker river cruiser designed with personal comfort in mind and able to seat 144 passengers. The sunset cruise usually takes around 2 hours, providing spectacular views of the sunset with snacks and drinks. The cruise takes place on the Zambezi along the river boundary of the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, offering visitors an excellent opportunity for spotting crocodiles, hippos, and elephants.

Day 2: Tour of the Falls and the Royal Living stone Express

On the second day, get ready for a guided tour of the falls, on the Zambian side, your private guide will meet you at reception from where you will walk to the entrance of the Victoria Falls. While on tour discover how the Falls were formed and the local customs and traditions surround them. These tours are quite informative and end with a visit to the local art and crafts centre.

In the late afternoon, you will venture out on a classic steam train safari where you will make a stop at the bridge giving you breath-taking views of the Victoria Falls.

Day 3: Visit to Chobe National Park - Botswana

You will be transferred to Chobe National Park in Botswana, after crossing the river by boat through the point where these four countries meet; Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Spend the day exploring the wildlife of Chobe National Park. Return back to your hotel in Livingstone, Zambia, in the late afternoon.

Important to note: Please ensure you have the required paperwork (visa) for crossing into Botswana and back into Zambia for the day.
